Weld Mold Company is the premier manufacturer of
high alloy welding electrodes, flux-cored wires and solid wires
for maintenance and repair, tool and die, stainless steels,
forging and hardfacing applications. We have developed over 3,000
products and sizes in the Sixty years we have been in
business. Our R& D metallurgical department is capable of rapidly
developing special electrode and flux cored alloys to suit
customer requirements, along with the ability to meet AWS or other
specifications. We maintain over $1 million in finished inventory
and raw materials that enable us to deliver the majority of our
products within 72 hours from our manufacturing facility located
in Brighton, Michigan.
Weld Mold Company purchased the Flux Cored operation of Teledyne
Harfac McKay, Toronto, Ontario in March of 1996 and relocated the
manufacturing operation to Brighton. This enables Weld Mold
Company to offer a complete line of Hardfacing wires and specialty
wires to compliment our lines of Tool and Die, Maintenance,
Forging, Stainless Steels, and alloy electrodes and TIG products.
Electrode sizes range from 1/16" to ¾" diameters; manufacturing
capacity of 1,200 tons per year. Flux cored product sizes range
from .045" to 5/32" diameters; manufacturing capacity of 2,000
tons per year. All of our products are offered as branded or for
the private label market.
Weld Mold Company received ISO 9002
registration on April 2, 1998; the first fully implemented quality
system in the history of the company. We have complete
traceability of all components and processing required in
manufacturing our products. As 15% of our business is
international, there are opportunities that we have, previously,
been unable to attract. Our primary benefit is our new ability to
identify problems as, or before, they occur and to come to a
resolution before being faced with rejections.
We are in the process of installing a
new computer system that will enable the retrieval of information
on a timely and accurate basis. This is inclusive of hardware,
software, and training. We have included EDI (electronic data
interchange) and information exchanges on the Internet.
This is the NEW Weld Mold Company. We
