Weld MoldŽ 601 - A cobalt base alloy with outstanding resistance to abrasion, heat and corrosion. This alloy has a low coefficient of friction and aquires a high polish in service. Not recommended for applications involving impact or where crack-free weld deposits are required. Uses include the overlay of extrusion screw conveyors, valve systems and bearings.

Weld MoldŽ 612 - Combining outstanding hardness, toughness and resistance to corrosion and heat, the properties of this cobalt-based alloy lie between series 601 and 606. Overlays resist abrasion, corrosion and moderate impact and acquire a high polish in service. Uses include overlays on screw conveyors and augers in the rubber and plastic industry, gas and diesel engine components, extrusion screws and various valves.

Weld MoldŽ 672-C - A low carbon version of the 673 product, it is more ductile and crack-resistant when used for fabrication. Primarily used for welding HastelloyŽ C-276 to itself and to many other nickel-based and stainless alloys.

Weld MoldŽ 9225 -
A versatile joining, surfacing and buildup material depositing "Hadfield"-type manganese steel. Excellent for buffer layers before depositing hard-facing overlays. Used to join manganese to manganese and to carbon and stainless steels. Other uses include impact hammers, crusher rolls, bucket teeth, railroad frogs and crossovers. Deposits can be flame-cut but machinability is generally poor. Non-magnetic.

Weld MoldŽ 9454 -
An all-purpose medium-carbon, medium-chrome hardfacing alloy with good resistance to abrasion and impact. The deposit can be applied without cross-checking, depending on the base metal and procedure. Used primarily on moderate impact and abrasion applications such as crusher rolls, hammer mills dredge-pump shells and crusher components.

Weld MoldŽ 9459 - A high-carbon/high-chrome/moly alloy for excellent resistance to abrasion, heat and impact, good hardness at temperatures over 1,000F and excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion up to 1,800F. Uses include overlay of sand pumps, impellers and bucket teeth/lips.

Weld MoldŽ 9462 - A chrome carbide  alloy that provides superior resistance to high abrasion and low impact at very high temperatures. 9462 is an excellent choice for sliding particle abrasion as found in tar/sand applications.

Weld MoldŽ 9768 -
A complex carbide alloy which provides an abrasion resistance equal to or approaching that of tungsten carbide. Weld deposits retain hardness and withstand operating temperatures over 1,100F. Uses include hard-facing of sinter claw crushers, sieves and cement kilns.

Weld MoldŽ 606 -
The most versatile of the cobalt base alloys, exhibiting high tensile strength, metal-to-metal wear, corrosion and erosion properties. PolyfaceŽ 606 has exceptional resistance to thermal shock and maintains its hardness at high temperatures. Uses include overlays on valves, hot shear blades, punches, chain-saw bars and components in molten zinc baths (galvanizing).

The least crack-sensitive of all the cobalt base alloys. PolyfaceŽ 621 will work harden the Rc 45+ with excellent impact and metal-to-metal wear qualities, especially at high temperatures. Uses include overlays on hot extrusion and forging dies, trimmers, punches and hot shear blades.

Weld MoldŽ 673 
 A nickel/chrome/moly alloy that resists high heat, impact corrosion, metal-to-metal wear and thermal shock. This alloy is also available in composite form as PolyfaceŽ 673-C. deposits rapidly work-harden from Rc 18-22 as-welded to Rc 40-42. Uses of these alloys include overlays of Hastelloy C, hot forge dies, trimmers and punches, hot shear blades, extrusion dies and blast-furnace bleeder valves.

Weld MoldŽ 9380 - The standard for most steel-mill roll reclamation, this modified 420 stainless alloy is designed to resist metal-to-metal wear, metal pickup, oxidation at high temperatures and hot abrasion with freedom from cross-checking. Uses include overlays of blast furnace bells and hoppers, steel-mill rolls, brake drums and crane wheels. Can be tempered to lower hardness.

An economical hard-facing alloy for resistance to severe abrasion and light to medium impact. It is a high-silicon, chrome-steel alloy which can achieve Rc 58 on the first pass. Uses include dredge parts, earth-moving and farm equipment.

Weld MoldŽ 9461 - A high-chromium alloy that provides the ultimate chromium carbide formations in an austenitic matrix for resistance to sever abrasion and moderate impact. The uniformly extruded coating and special core wire assures low temperature fusion with minimum penetration of the base metal. Welds take a high polish in service and maintain hardness up to 900F. Uses include hard-facing of muller tires, pug-mill knives, conveyors and earth-moving equipment.
