Weld Mold® 4060

Weld Mold 4060 is a nickel copper alloy, which has good resistance to corrosion and good strength in areas such as reducing acids, seawater and salts.

Applications

This material is for joining or build-up on nickel and other selected alloys. Also used for welding Monel® alloys 400, R-405 and K-500.

Procedure

Remove old welds, cracks, fatigue metal and base materials from surface. Pre-heat is not required except when welding alloy steels. Multi-layer build-ups are acceptable.

GMAW - DC+, 100% Ar or 100% He On Thick Sections
GTAW - DC-100% He, 100% Ar or Ar/He Mixture, Use 2% Thorium Tunsten
