Weld Mold® 4182

Weld Mold 4182 is a premium quality material with excellent operating characteristics. It is used when high heat and corrosion resistance are important. Can be used for joining or overlays on carbon, stainless, inconel® and monel® alloys.

Applications

Applications include welding inconel® alloy 600 and 601 to themselves or each other. Dissimilar welding applications include joining inconel® alloy 800 to carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel 200 and monel® alloy 400, joining monel® alloy 400 to carbon steel, joining nickel 200 to stainless and joining stainless steel to carbon steel.

Procedure

Clean all areas to be welded. No pre-heat is required on inconel® or stainless products. Pre-heat according to base metal being welded. Use stringer passes or very slight weave using short arc.

SMAW - DC+
FCAW - DC+, or 75% Ar 25% CO2
