Weld Mold® 4625

Weld Mold 4625 is a nickel based alloy that provides a deposit that resists high temperature corrosion to 1,100°F that is used for overlaying steel, welding various nickel base alloys, and dissimilar joints involving various nickel base alloys, carbon steels, low alloy steels, and stainless steels

Applications

4625 is used for the welding of Inconel® alloy 601, 625 and 690, and Incoloy® 800 HT. It is also used for welding of corrosion resistant steels. Nickel steels can also be joined, and as an overlay on various steels. 4625 has high strength over various temperature ranges and excellent corrosion resistance such as pitting and crevice corrosion.

Procedure

Remove all defects and surface contaminants. Do not pre-heat except when welding alloy steels. Use the lowest practical parameters, can be used as a multi-layer build-up. No post weld heat treatment is necessary to maintain corrosion resistance.
