Polycut® 101
The ultimate cutting and piercing electrode used for all metals with standard electric arc welding machines. A special exothermic coating intensifies arc voltage, which produces optimum operating characteristics.
Applications
Cut and pierce all ferrous and non-ferrous metals including cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass and bronze. Specific applications include enlarging of existing holes, cavities, piercing new holes, removing frozen bolts, and salvage yard operations.
Procedure
Use AC or DC, reverse polarity. To cut, strike an arc and continue along line of cut with an up and down motion while maintaining contact with the work. For piercing hold electrode perpendicular to work and push through the metal after initiating the arc. Remove rapidly after piercing the hole. Use circular motion to enlarge holes.
