Weld Mold 4000AC is a nickel, chromium, molybdenum alloy. 4000AC is one of the most versatile electrodes in the Inconel® – Monel® line.

Applications

4000AC is used for welding various combinations of inconel®, monel®, stainless, nickel alloys and mild steels. It is a great maintenance alloy for welding equipment in severe service conditions. Some examples where 4000AC is used are; for welding 505, 330, 310, 304, 347, 410 and 316 stainless steel, Inconel® alloys 625, 718, 825, 600, 601 and 800.

Procedure

Clean all areas to be welded. No pre-heat is required on inconel® or stainless products. Pre-heat according to base metal being welded. Use stringer passes or very slight weave using short arc.

75% Ar/25% CO2 or 100% CO2
