Weld Mold 923 produces typical AISI 6150 weld deposits that can be flame hardened or heat treated to desired hardness.

Applications

For repairing all medium carbon, medium alloy steels as encountered in forgings, castings, fabrications, and tool & die steels.

Procedure

Preheat from 600°F to 850°F on AISI 6150 steels. When welding on other alloys preheat and post will be dictated by the composition and thickness of the base material.

SMAW - DC+
GMAW - DC+, 92%Ar/8% CO2 or 100% Ar
FCAW - DC+ 75% Ar 25% CO2 or 100% CO2
GTAW - DC - 100%Ar
